Junior Survey

Okay Junior People

Who wants to make a survey?

EVERYONE, that's who!

What we are going to do today is to decide what our survey is going to be about, which questions we want to ask people, and which answers they might give. We are also going to do research on our survey topic, to be able to provide information to the people who are participating in our survey.

Today's task is to use Fact Monster, Ask Kids and Microsoft Word to write your survey question and answers.

You can make your survey about anything you like. You must have at least 4 different choices for answers. Here is an example:

If your topic is dogs, you could start by saying "Fact Monster says that there are over 300 different breeds of dogs. The most popular dogs in North America are..."

Question: What is your favourite kind of dog?

Answers:
1. Poodle
2. Dalmatian
3. German Shepherd
4. One of those tiny, wimpy, frilly, rat-like, runt dogs that girls love to carry around in a purse like a doll and put tiny little clothes on it and dress it up, and give it some silly name like Princess and pretend that it's a baby human.
5. Other

Now Open a New Office Document. When you are finished, Save it as YourNameSurvey.doc (like NathanSurvey.doc)

You have to make it look GOOD! You should use different colours, fonts, clip art and highlights. Make sure that your font size is not larger than 24 point.
